Pai Limited Edition Kukui Collection Instant Brightening Facial

Pai Limited Edition Kukui Collection Instant Brightening Facial

Pai is a brand whose Christmas gift sets I eagerly await news of, because they are always a perfect way to spoil, pamper and treat a friend (or yourself!) at Christmas time. Just before the Christmas sets for 2013 were released, I was musing over the fact that I would adore a set which included my favourite Pai skincare products and true holy grail, the Organic Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator. Low and behold, a limited edition set was released, including a limited edition product, based on the brigthening exfoliator. It was love at first sight! Each of this year's limited edition Christmas gift sets from Pai have been beautifully designed and decorated with a bespoke watercolour design by artist William Watson West. I'm a big fan of the packaging from Pai this Christmas, some of my favourite.

Pai Kukui Collection Limited Edition Instant Brightening Facial* (Pai, £30): A set comprising of three skin brightening products, based around Kukui and Jojoba Beads. The set includes a full sized 50ml Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator, a Limited Edition 50ml Kukui & Kaolin Clarifying Face Mask and a Pai Skincare Muslin Facial Cloth.

Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator - Hawaiian Kukui Oil is a skin brightening saviour which works to revive lack-lustre, congested or combination skin. The star ingredient of the Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator, which is one of Pai's best selling skincare products and one of the best exfoliators I have ever used. Other star ingredients include cylindrical wax beads and gentle, detoxifying organic clays, which work to polish and purify the skin, as well as high concentrations of Omegas 3 and 6 which work to deeply condition, smooth and perfect the surface of the skin. I first reviewed this holy grail product in July 2012, and it is a product I use for a real treat and pamper. It doesn't require every day use, and a little product goes such a long way. Contained in a pump operated bottle, I use one pump for my entire face, very gently massage the product clean, dry skin. It has a thick, luxurious syrup like consistency, which is firm yet easy to manipulate around your face. The Jojoba Beads within the formula are perfectly spherical, which means they very gently buff away dead skin cells whilst increasing stimulation for new cells. After a minute or so massaging the exfoliator in, I will moisten my hands with warm water and massage for a further 30 seconds, in which time the gel-syrup like consistency turns to a milky fluid, which works to cleanse your skin. Gentle, yet firm swipe with a warm facial cloth and you are left with beautifully bright, radiant and smooth skin. Oh how I adore this exfoliator!

Kukui & Kaolin Clarifying Face Mask, Limited Edition - The news of a limited edition product in the set had me super excited. I haven't had the chance to use this yet (why is the festive season so hectic!) but I can't wait to give it a go. Described as a soft clay face mask which deeply cleanses your newly polished complexion, working to smooth and sooth the surface of the skin with high concentrations of Omegas 3 and 6. I love clay masks, I find them fab at deeply cleansing my skin! A recent tip I picked up from the lovely Jess at Samsara Skin, is to spritz your face with a rose facial mist or toner just as the clay mask begins to dry and feel tight. It will relax the mask, moistening it and allow you to make the most of your mask. I will be trying that tip with this mask for sure!

Pai Organic Muslin Cloth - Although I have only had one previous Pai Muslin Cloth, it has been one of my favourites for removing both face masks and cleansers, whilst providing a gentle yet incredibly effective exfoliating action, leaving my skin super smooth and soft, ready to soak up my night-time skincare products. Lovely to see one of these in the set!

Pai are vegan, vegetarian and animal friendly, a cruelty free brand who is Soil Association Certified organic. Their products are of impeccable quality, with affordable prices. Ingredients used within all of Pai's products are selected with our skins best interests at mind, and how best to get the most benefits from those ingredients for our skin. I think this set is perfectly price, as it's an affordable high-quality skincare set, which I believe is worth far much more than it's sale price. This set would be a truly wonderful introduction for anyone into Pai as a brand, but particularly great for those who want to improve the texture of their skin, as well as achieve a brighter complexion and overall more radiant skin.
