KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow Set + Swatches

KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow Set + Swatches

In 2013 KIKO become one of the mos talked about beauty brands to hit the UK and blogosphere, and a brand whose product reviews and launches I always kept an ear out for. I have to admit, for a newly released UK brand as well as only recently opening their first UK flagship store (on Regent's Street, London), they certainly haven't come in quietly. With product ideas which rival any British brand, formulas and shades which stand out from the crowd and innovative products all round whether from their makeup, skincare, hair care or body care lines; KIKO have come in with a bang! I am so impressed with the Christmas gift sets on offer from KIKO this year, and today I will be sharing my thoughts on a beautiful set of five products.

KIKO Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow Set* (KIKO*, Set of 5, £22.90): A limited edition set containing five limited edition stick eyeshadows in intense, deep and unique shades. Pearly Shell is a super pale peach toned beige than although is too pale for me to wear alone, works as an incredible base for building brighter, deeper and more intense shades to gain the most out of your colours. All the shades in fact are perfect for using as a base, but each of the four remaining shades in the set can also be used alone or with other shades for an intense eye. Golden Green is a beautiful shade, more between a bright green and a turquoise, almost like the infamous Tiffany & Co blue. Pearly Lagoon Blue is an incredibly intense pure lagoon blue that has a metallic finish and silver undertones, absolutely stunning but a very bold shade to wear. Pearly Onyx Black is a perfect metallic graphite and Smoky Brown is a very warm, fudge chocolate brown.

In all honesty, the first time I swatched these, I was impressed. The first time I used them, I was even more impressed. The pigmentation for each shade is absolutely incredible with a colour pay-off unlike anything else I've seen for a long time. All of KIKO's products have great colour pay-off, but these are something else. With a buttery soft formula, these cream shadows glide onto the lids with ease, effortlessly creating striking colour and bold looks. They are blendable, if you're quick - I find a good blending brush works best or your fingertips! I say quick because once these have set, they are set to stay until you whip out the bi-phase waterproof eye makeup remover. Amazing products in an adorable, purse-friendly set.

  7. They've been in the UK for a while - they've had stores in both London Westfields since at least 2012.

    1. Ahh, thanks for letting me know! I think the Regent's Street store is classed as their flagship store, though, and as I don't live in London I don't visit Westfield in London. Thanks for letting me know there were other stories :) xo
