Organic Surge First Class Face Mask

Organic Surge First Class Face Mask

Not only do I love a new Organic Surge release, but when it's skincare, I'm all ready to fall utterly in love. Organic Surge produce some incredibly gentle skincare products suitable for all skin types and their strong brand ethos means they're also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. All of Organic Surge's products are cruelty free and the brand uses the highest quality organic and natural ingredients, to create everything from dreamy pampering products to everyday essentials. The First Class Face Mask* (Organic Surge*, 50ml, £8.49) is the first face mask from Organic Surge and it features a whole host of lovely ingredients chosen specifically for their benefits to our skin. There's rosemary essential oil, which purifies and tones the skin, as well as lemon essential oil which works to naturally cleanse the skin and rejuvenate dull, lack-luster skin. Sweet orange essential oil is used to eliminate toxins and stimulate the lymphatic system whilst palmarose essential oil works to naturally moisturise, hydrate and calm the skin. Aloe vera is another top ingredient for calming and soothing the skin as well as acting as a moisturising property and natural glycerine helps attract and bind moisture to the skin, keeping the skin as hydrated, soft and supple as possible. Soothing marshmallow works to deep cleanse and nourish and there's skin calming chamomile in there too! Finally we have sweet almond oil, which rapidly absorbs into the skin helping to moisturise. Quite an impressive list of good-for-your-skin ingredients, right?

The First Class Face Mask works to both deep cleanse and nourish lack-luster skin which needs a radiance boost, and ups the hydration levels of your skin with an instant boost. To apply you simply pop a moderate amount onto your skin (I find foundation brushes the easiest, mess-free way to apply masks) and leave on for 5 minutes before using a muslin cloth or flannel to rinse off the mask with warm water. The first time I used this mask I found my skin looked very red after use, which makes me wonder how people with extremely sensitive skin might find this mask and a patch test may be wise. Otherwise, I noticed my skin looked clearer and brighter, which means the deep cleansing ingredients worked wonderfully to de-clog my pores of dirt, grime and excess sebum. My skin didn't feel overly hydrated after use, but my skin was definitely plumper, firmer and more bouncy. Each time I have used this mask since I have found all the same results, although the reddening of my skin lessens with each use. Overall I think this is a great budget-friendly face mask and although targeted at all skin types, I think this would be most beneficial to oily and combination skin. I love that it's an animal friendly, organic mask with lots of super-skin ingredients and it's a mask I would happily recommend to friends and family. I'm looking forward to seeing whether Organic Surge bring out any more masks - I think they'd do fantastically well with an overnight hydrating mask!

  3. This sounds great. I might just have to give this a go, especially as you say it's probably better for those with oily skin. I did wonder what your thoughts about it would be as it's for all skin types, and I'm surprised that it's probably better for those with oilier skin. I usually find that products which are suited for all skin types hydrate my skin too much x
