Everyday hair care essentials

Of course I adore using my high-end hair care products but on a day-to-day basis, using more budget-friendly products is much more realistic. I reserve my high-end favourites for weekends, special occasions and plans out, whereas for the everyday general jobs I need to get done, I'm fine with my John Frieda Luxurious Volume* range.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo* (Boots*, 250ml, £5.99) & Conditioner* (Boots*, 250ml, £5.99) - The Luxurious Volume shampoo and conditioner are no stranger to Tattooed Tealady, as I shared my thoughts on them last year so I won't go into too much detail here, but these are a great everyday duo for perfectly happy, healthy and silky soft hair. I have to be honest and say I don't find the shampoo and conditioner add volume to my hair, as I've used them alone with no styling products and found my hair remained lank and lifeless. But as a basic shampoo and conditioner they work well to cleanse my hair and it's easy to manage, as I find is true to all the John Frieda ranges I have tried.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Out Spray* (Boots*, 125ml, £6.99) - A few sprays of this slender Blow Out Spray really helps give my hair some oomph when I'm blow drying, giving it a great boost at the roots and makes my hair feel thicker as well as looking more volumised. I adore it! You can also use this on dry hair which I sometimes do if I'm feeling a bit lazy and just want to refresh my style, rather than completely changing it. It works to provide natural looking volume and lift by plumping fine hair from the root all the way through to the tips of your hair, giving it a salon finish and the body, volume and shape we lust after, and it actually does as it says! Love this.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Dry Lotion* (Boots, 125ml, £5.99) - I equally love the Blow Dry Lotion, but I do think it's pretty much the exact same product as the Blow Out Spray. Sometimes I'll use each individually, sometimes I'll combine the two for a real volumised look. But overall, they both do the same job for me. Blow Dry Lotion is advertised as being able to thicken the hair shaft, boost volume and give even the finest of hair a fuller, thicker look.

Overall I am once again impressed with the products I have tried. John Frieda is a brand I have used for many, many years and their products always do the job and keep my hair looking and feeling lovely. I particularly love the Brilliant Brunette range! If you're looking for a great new shampoo and conditioner to try out, give these a go - but for volume I definitely recommend the Luxurious Volume styling products! Fab. Even better - There's a great deal on selected John Frieda products and ranges, with 2 for £8 in Boots and at Boots online at the moment, so perfect to snap up some hair care bargains.
