Color Wow review

A picture of Color Wow Styling Products

Recently my hair has been getting a real treat with amazing product after amazing product. Teaming my KMS California Tame Frizz Kit with my Top 5 Hair Care Products, I've found my hair is left looking and feeling healthy, strong and easy to style. But there are two more products I have been using which I just had to share with you as they have captured the hearts of my thin lifeless locks. For the past five weeks I have been trialing two products from Color Wow. I don't use both of these products everyday, but they are constantly reached for and the more I use them, the more I adore them.

What is Color Wow?
Color Wow is a new brand which has been created by Gail Federici, co-founder of the much loved and well known brand John Frieda. Color Wow products are made with ground-breaking formulas with frizzy and lighter hair in mind, but whose products are suitable for almost anyone to use. Color Wow is a complete range of products using new technology which works to target colour treated hair and give it that 'wow!' factor every day with as little work as possible. Receiving two finalist places at the CEW awards for Best New Brand and Best New Product, Color Wow is taking the UK by storm. Color Wow has everything from root touch up products to hair styling and hair care and their products are available in Space NK and on the Space NK website, on the QVC website and on the official Color Wow website.

The Color Wow One Minute Transformation Styling Cream (30ml - £9, 120ml - £16.50)* can be used on wet or dry hair and has a lovely, light-weight feel to it. The One Minute Transformation Styling Cream aims to improve the style and condition of already dried hair. You can apply a five pence piece sized amount of One Minute Transformation Styling Cream to puffy, parched, frizzy or colour treated hair, and you'll soon be left with hair that is soft, silky smooth and super healthy looking (and feeling!) As I said I use this on both wet and dry hair. On dry hair it works as a perfect finishing product (although avoid the root area if you are prone to oily roots) and on wet hair it helps blow dry my hair beautifully smooth and very rarely after using this do I feel the need to use my straighteners.

The Color Wow Pop & Lock Crystallite Shellac (£14)* very nearly made it into my Top 5 Hair Care Products post, it's the product out of the two Color Wow products I've used the most and also the product which I enjoy using the most. Created with a prescriptive formula which creates a protective shellac coating on the surface of your hair, it works to make your color pop! Sealing the cuticle in to lock in colour and keep out dryness, the Color Wow Pop & Lock Crystallite Shellac is an absolute favourite of mine at the moment for my ends. I apply this on both wet and dry hair and find it just makes my ends feel incredible, soft, almost like they've been freshly cut. It actually has a lot of glitter in it, but thankfully this doesn't translate onto your hair. Instead the very small pieces of glitter catch the light making your hair look healthy, glossy and strong. A real firm favourite for me.
