UK Beauty Boxes Worth Trying!

One of the most popular posts I have ever written here on Tattooed Tealady was my complete guide to UK beauty boxes! There are so many beauty boxes out there that sometimes it can be very confusing deciding which one is the best for you! As the beauty boxes in the UK have changed since I wrote my post last Summer, I decided to share an updated post all about UK beauty boxes worth trying! Have you ever sat there and looked at all the different boxes available and thought to yourself what beauty box should I try? Well hopefully this post will help you decide! I haven't mentioned every beauty box here. Some have shut down since my last post, one I am still not a fan off (explained in the complete guide), but these two are favourites for me and ones which I think are set to keep the beauty World in beauty boxes for a long time yet.

BeautecoBox is a brand new beauty box in the UK which launched just a few days ago on May 3rd! A beauty box with a difference, BeautecoBox is a box which aims to offer you more choice in what you receive each month. Instead of being sent a box each month with no choice in what comes in it, you can pick between three different boxes available, each with it's own unique mix of products. In each box you are guaranteed five products; one or two of them will be star products and mostly full sized, and there will also be three or four luxurious sample sizes! I was lucky enough to try BeautecoBox before it launched to the general product and out of the three boxes available, I picked option two. I was chuffed when it arrived to see two fab full sized products (and huge ones at that) from Anatomicals, as well as three luxurious samples including body care and skincare! You can find out more on the BeautecoBox website and BeautecoBox will cost £10 per month plus £2.95 post and packaging! This is a box I am excited to watch grow, and I think it's going to be a fab box for all kinds of beauty lovers.

Birchbox are the American beauty box company which took over the UK Joliebox. I was lucky enough to receive a Birchbox in my #LDNBBMeet evening event goody bag from SheSaidBeauty. I was gifted the April box and I was pretty thrilled with the contents. With products ranging from skincare to makeup, body care and even makeup accessories, it features some great brands, brands I've been curious about and introduced me to a couple of new brands too. With three full sized products and three generous sample sizes, if that isn't enough there's also the Birchbox magazine! This features beauty news, tutorials, the latest products to add to your lust list and general beauty tips, it's a great feature to the box! You can find out more on the Birchbox website and Birchbox also costs £10 a month plus £2.95 post and packaging.

Have you tried any of these beauty boxes? Do you think you'll give any of them a go? Let me know!

What's my thoughts on beauty boxes?
I used to be subscribed to a lot of beauty boxes and I think they are a really lovely monthly treat/ Sometimes they can have amazing contents with products you know you'll try, love and re-buy. But sometimes that's not always the case. My perfect beauty box would have generous sample sizes from both high-street and high-end, particularly from brands not so easy to find on the high-street. I like beauty boxes with a variety of skincare, body care, hair care and makeup and little added extra like the Birchbox magazine, which is a fun read. My favourite beauty box was SheSaidBeauty who unfortunately stopped making their boxes in 2013.

  1. Perfectly timed advice! Beauty boxes are an absolute minefield and it was getting rather stressful knowing where would be best to go. Thank you for narrowing it down! :)

  2. I've never really understood the appeal of beauty boxes. I prefer to spend my money on products I actually want and I suspect half of the stuff I'd get in a beauty box wouldn't get used! X

  4. I stopped getting Luxbox because of how late it was each month and half the time mine apparently got lost in the post. I'm definitely thinking about Birchbox though :) xo

  7. I have tried Glossy Box and Birch Box, Glossy Box I keep going back to Birch Box the products were great but their customer service SUCKS! One of my products was smashed and it ruined my whole box and they never bothered to come back to me, I cancelled the account after 2 months. Glossy Box the products are really varied but they have great customer service and I do like that as a consumer it means a lot x
