Sleek Blush by 3 | Pumpkin and Lace

Sleek Blush by 3 | Pumpkin and Lace
When Sleek released these Blush by 3's, I was in my 'Right, I need to wear blush more often' frame of mind so I thought a palette with three different blush shades would be perfect! I checked out lots of online reviews and swatches and the first one I added to my collection was Pumpkin. I am a big fan of Sleek blushes, my favourite being Pomegranate which is the perfect Autumn/Winter shade. So I had high hopes for the Blush by 3 palettes!

Pumpkin has three very intense shades. The shades to me scream American Halloween. There's Lantern, which is a more toned down and pink version of Pomegranate, Squash, which is a warm toned bubblegum pink and P Pie (I presume for pumpkin!) which is a very intense pumpkin orange! And yet I've found these shades a teeny tiny bit difficult to work with. So my quick romance with the idea of the Sleek Blush By 3 very quickly ended. That was, until Lace Blush by 3 came in to my life...

The Blush by 3 in Lace is pretty much, in a word, perfect. It is so, so easy to work with and the shades are all shades which I am confident wearing. There is Chantilly, which is a warm coral shade, Guipure which is a coral with pink undertones and flecks of gold (not too dissimilar to NARS Orgasm...) and Crochet which is a red based coral shade. My favourite of the three is definitely Guipure which I just absolutely adore, but the whole palette on a whole is so lovely. I think it's a selection of shades which would suit most skin tones, whereas I think Pumpkin is more suited to darker skin tones.

Like with all of Sleek's blushes, they are super pigmented, with great lasting power and a soft, creamy formula. You need the slightest touch with each colour, but the colour can also be built up if you want a bigger impact of colour. Do you have a favourite Sleek blush? Let me know what it is!

  1. Guipure is a lovely colour! You're right, it looks so much like NARS Orgasm .. maybe this will stop me from buying a replacement!

  13. I definitely think Lace is the better out of the two, if you struggle with pumpkin I definitely would, you are so much more adventurous with your make up than I am with mine x
