L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil

L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil

The L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil (or more formerly known as the A L'Hule D'Amande with Almond Oil) is a pretty popular and coveted product in the blogosphere. And rightly so. L'Occitane is a name I have grown up with. A prestigious brand with the highest quality products, L'Occitane is a brand I associate with luxury. And nothing feels more luxurious than the Almond Shower Oil.

Although an oil, the Almond Shower Oil transforms in water to become a beautiful, delicate, moisturising foam. It works to cleanse your skin and body and enriched with almond oil, it leaves a subtle scent of fresh almond whilst leaving your skin cleansed, soft and moisturised.

I have used shower oils before but this is something else entirely. Although an oil, it doesn't leave an oily residue on my skin. When used in the shower, this left me feeling clean, my skin was soft and the subtle scent of fresh almond lingered for hours after. I also tried this out in the bath last night (forever a rebel) and it was just as luxurious. I added just a few drops to my bath and settled in for an hour of relaxation and to read a good book. I've used bath oils before, as well as bath melts from Lush which I adore, but adding some of the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil to a hot bath leaves the most beautiful lingering scent of almonds and when I got out of the bath my skin looked as if it was glowing and incredibly healthy.

L'Occitane is one of my favourite brands for body care and their products are everything you want them to be. I love that this is such a multi-purpose product, not just for the shower but can also be used in the bath. The scent is sensational, without being over powering, and the way it leaves your skin is heavenly. Utterly heavenly. The design of the bottle is also perfect; it's plastic, so you don't have to worry about dropping it in the shower and dealing with broken glass, and it also has a handy lid to ensure you only use the amount you need. A 250ml bottle can be found on the L'Occitane website here and costs £16.50, and is sure to last a long time. Am I addicted? Yes! And I can't wait to indulge in it again tonight.

  6. Wow this sounds amazing. I need to try it. People always spend more money on products for their face, but it's just as important to pamper the rest of your body too! x

  14. This is my current favorite too, I was pretty amazed by how it turned to foam even if it felt like oil in my hand.

  16. I was totally obsessed with this shower oil about a year ago! I stopped using it because I got tired of the smell, but it's indeed the best shower product I've ever tried.
