This favourites post is probably the biggest favourites post I have ever done. I just found myself in love with so many products this month and I couldn't pick any less! So lets get to it!

Artdeco is a fairly new brand for me but it's one I am already in love with. Particularly the Dita Von Teese range. Dita Von Teese is in my opinion one of the most beautiful and stunning women to ever grace this Earth. She is elegant, classic and breathtakingly beautiful. She is a true burlesque icon who always looks absolutely flawless. So to find out she had her own makeup range in collaboration with Artdeco was very exciting for me, a long time Dita fan. The range includes nail polishes, lipsticks and lipglosses, mascaras, bases, blushes, lip liners, eye-lashes and liners and eye-shadows, and powders. Literally covering all of your makeup needs!
If you've been following me for a while now you will know that I am a huge fan of Dirty Works and really think they should be raved about more often. A high-street brand exclusive to Sainsbury's, Dirty Works have skincare, body care, makeup and accessories for anyone and everyone. The best bit about Dirty Works? They are one of the most super cheap reasonably priced brands I have ever fallen in love with, that produce beautiful products in equally beautiful and enticing packaging. They deserve so much more love on the blogosphere and I am more than happy to share my share of love for Dirty Works!

We have now reached the final review and final product in the Tans for Women of Colour project. As you will know if you have been following the project there are 11 of us in total and we have been testing out different brands and products and seeing how they fair for women of colour. This project hasn't just been for us to see if we can get a tan without the cost of going on holiday, but to see if their are products out there for girls of different skin tones, who not only want to achieve a tan but also cover a multiple of sins. We have tried and tested six brands in total throughout the product.

The first time I heard about this lip balm was when Estee who runs Essie Button mentioned it in one of her YouTube videos. Within days of her video, I saw this popping up all over the blogosphere. It seemed every one was loving this little glass pot of wonder balm. So obviously, as with any beauty blogger easily swayed by rave reviews, this instantly went on my wish list. I couldn't pick it up straight away as I was doing The 100 Day Challenge but when I finished my challenge it was one of the first things I picked up. I picked mine up on Feel Unique and it costs £9.50 with free delivery. When it came I had incredibly high expectations. Probably higher expectations than I have ever had for a lip balm, that's for sure. But is it really worth all the hype and rave reviews it gets?
I remember when reed diffusers first came on the scene, and despite that being many years ago, I had never tried some for myself. A new beautifully scented addition to my bedroom, has been this Sensuous reed diffuser from NEOM. And I think, maybe, I just might, know what all the fuss about reed diffusers is now!

I am a firm believer in 'treating yourself'. Or this is how I explain my spending a lot of the time, anyway. And, as many of you know, I commute to University in North London, from home in Nottingham. So I spend a lot of my time on coaches and trains, and a lot of time wasting time away in St. Pancras. There are actually some very nice shops in the St Pancras station, but I usually always lust from afar and stick to shops I know; like Foyles Bookshop and Cath Kidston. A couple of weeks ago, I decided enough was enough. The time for lusting had well and truly passed and I went in to a shop which has grabbed my beauty obsessives attention for a while now. Rituals. A brand I have never tried before, knew nothing about and one I had never even been near. But everything looked so lovely from the window display and I just wanted to have a look! But, a look soon turns to a touch (calm down!) and I ended up smelling a few things, testing out the feel of a few things. And I became entranced by two products. The scents were just... scrumptious. Delicious. Sensuous. But, I made my excuses "You don't need another candle" I told myself as my purse tried to fight it's way out of my bag, "You don't need another body butter" I told myself as my purse started weeping... And I left.
But then the following week...
If there is one skincare brand which every beauty blogger seems to love, it's REN. I only heard of REN for the first time when I started my little blog here, before that I had no idea this brand existed. It's one of the things I adore about blogging - You find so many great, wonderful brands which do amazing things for your skin. And this mask has certainly lived up to the expectations set for it by other bloggers who have raved about this orange mask.

If you read my post a couple of months back on the first three shades I picked up from this range, you will know that at first I hated them (see my post about the first three shades I owned, here) I just found them impossible to use, even harder to blend and for about a good month or so, they were a big regret of mine money wise. Then I found the perfect brush to use them with, a synethic eyeshadow brush. Since then I have loved them, but the shades I reach for the most are these three beauties, sent to me by Amiiee. The shades she sent me were Tenacious Teal, Pomegranate Punk and Edgy Emerald. I wanted some more 'wild' shades, for when I do more colourful eye makeup.
Hair oils. It's pretty much all anyone has spoken about where hair is concerned here on the blogosphere over the past year really isn't it? But it's for good reason. Hair oils have become extremely popular because they do absolute wonders for your hair. Everyone raves about Macadamia and I am yet to personally try them, but one brand which intrigued me, mainly for the eye-catching packaging and design, is Moroccan Oil. Moroccan Oil make all sorts of lovely, good-for-your-hair products ranging from oil treatments to shampoos and conditioners, styling products and even gift sets (so put them on your Christmas list boys and girls!) I have been trying out their famous oil and also their extra volume shampoo and hydrating styling cream.

On July 21st this summer, Lush did a Worldwide launch of their new makeup line, Emotional Brilliance. It was set to be a show-stopping line including eye-shadows, lipsticks, cheek colours, mascaras, bases and finishing products. Everyone was talking about it, everyone wanted to know more and everyone wanted to get their hands on these new, cruelty free, wonderfully colourful little bottles. But are they really worth the hype? There are two ranges within this new makeup line; the Colour Range and the Dessert Island range. I've been trying out six products from the Colour Range.
Burberry is a beauty brand I have been interested in for a long while now, hearing not only rave reviews, but holy grail product reviews, for practically their entire beauty range. So I am thrilled today to be sharing with you my thoughts on their volumising lash enhancer in Midnight Brown and their sheer eye shadow, also in shade Midnight Brown.

I'm quite lucky with my skin; although I have naturally oily combination skin, one thing I very rarely get is spots. And I mean, very rarely. A few weeks ago I got one though and boy oh boy was it a stonker! It was the first spot I had had in around 2-3 months and I was not impressed. But I was prepared! And I thought I would share with you the three products I added in to my skincare routine for a few days which helped banish the spot and keep my skin looking and feeling lovely! I used these products in place of some of the products in my usual skincare routine, and also as well as the products in my skincare routine.
Antipodes is a brand I have only been introduced to this year but one I really love. Their Avocado and Rosehip Divine Face Oil is one of my absolute skin saviours and I will be sharing my thoughts on it and why I love it so much very soon. But today I am going to share with you the Immortal SPF15 Natural Sun Protector. It's a multi-purpose product; it can be used on both the face and the body. But I've been using it just on my face. Now you may be wondering, why am I writing about a product that protects you from the sun when I not only live in the UK, but it is now Autumn? Well, did you know that even when it isn't hot and sunny outside, UV rays from the sun can still affect and damage our skin? It's why 9/10 the moisturisers I pick for my face have a built in SPF. It's important, to me at least, to protect my skin in whatever way I can to prevent the signs of aging; and yes, at 24, skin ageing is something important to me.
Top five nail polishes for autumn/winter 2012
You might have noticed, but it’s getting a little cold outside, meaning that summer has hung up its hat and disappeared for another year, leaving your wardrobe well and truly in the lurch. Of course, each new season brings the opportunity for fresh styles, and we've chosen the most stylish nail polishes for 2012.

If you have been following my blog a while you will know that I was so in lust with these Revlon Kissable Lip Balm Stains, and devastated that they weren't available in the UK. Everywhere I looked on the blogosphere and on YouTube, American beauty bloggers and gurus were raving about these soon to be dubbed, Clinque Chubby Stick dupes. I wanted them, badly. Then much to my own and every other beauty obsessive in the UK's happiness, Revlon launched them in the UK. And oh joy, I was still doing my 100 Day Challenge, so even now they were in the UK, I couldn't buy them! Then I saw more and more reviews, from British girls, and it did nothing to help my lust and need for this beauties.
Sometimes, you just need something special. A key piece in your makeup collection which is treasured, which feels special every time you use it. Something which stands out from all of your other makeup. For me, that is this gorgeous eye quartet from Clarins. To me, Clarins has always stood out as one of those brands that isn't just high-end. But in a beauty league of it's own. To me, Clarins is classy, chic, and sophisticated. And this beautiful eye quarter does nothing but scream class, chic and sophistication to me.

I was over the moon when I saw a full sized Magnifibres in my July Lux Box. I had recently seen Magnifibres pop up in a couple of reviews, especially over on YouTube, and I was so intrigued and anxious to try them! I hate my eye-lashes. They don't really have any natural curl to them (unlike my unruly hair!) and I struggle to curl them with curling tongs. I've had them chemically permed in salons before, but after one beautician messed it up, I'd never do that again (imagine turkey twizzlers...) I've tried false lashes, but I just can't seem to find either a pair that is natural enough, nor perfect application. So I'm stuck with my boring lashes which don't do what I want. Which is why I was so eager to try Magnifibres!
We are now in to the 7th and penultimate week of the Tans for Women of Colour project and this week I, along with the other lovely ladies on the project, will be sharing our thoughts with you on the Vita Liberata pHenomenal Long Lasting Tan Mousse. I have been using the medium moose and some of the other girls are the project have been using the dark. So this is a great week to see how different shades of tanning products work on different people with different skin tones. Before I get in to my review, I had a thought the other night which I thought might be quite helpful for those who tan, are curious about tanning and also for those who have been reading and enjoying the posts for this project.

Sigma is a brand I only ever hear of in the blogosphere, see on YouTube. That was until I realised that online shops here in the UK also sell Sigma! Yup, you heard me (read me, whichever you prefer) You can get Sigma in the UK! And boy oh boy, I can't deny it. They are amazing. I mean, I love my Real Techniques brushes. But these, these are something else altogether. These are amazing. No, more than amazing. These are phenomenal. All the hype you've heard, all the rave about this brand, is beyond spot on. It's an understatement. I am in love girls (and boys!)

It's time to discuss face wash in the Skincare Series! Washing your face is always an important step in your skincare routine, whether you wear no makeup, a little makeup or a lot of makeup. Washing your face, I think, is a pretty simple step in everyone's every day routine that would be pretty darn hard to miss out. How can anybody not wash their face, right? But believe me, I've met my fair share who don't.... The thought of not washing my face makes me feel more than a little bit icky. I wash my face morning and night and in my skincare routine it is actually the third step. The first step being to remove eye makeup, the second to cleanse, and the third, as I said, is to wash my face. Washing my face as the third step in my skincare routine just ensures that everything really is off; makeup, daily dirt and grime, product residue. I want my face and skin as clean as possible because otherwise they will just be a nasty build-up of product, germs and bacteria which can lead to skin irritation, spots and blemishes and also affect how your makeup looks.
I remember the first set of GHD's I ever got. A Christmas gift from a friend, the first set of GHD's I ever had were the styler GHD's, when they very first came out. They came with a huge white leather case, which I still use to this day, and some styling products. That was when I was 17. I am now 24. And that very same pair has stuck with me for nearly 8 years now. That is the great thing about GHD's; they last. And last, and last, and last. I've had people step on them before, and they still worked. They are the strongest, best quality hair straighteners I have ever used, and I've used a lot over the years when hair dressing! GHD's are a brand I know and trust. I would never turn to any other brand for straighteners, nor would I ever recommend, or buy, any other brand for others. It's GHD or nothing, I'm afraid.
I am a huge fan of Nourish. Their Balance skincare range helped sort out my oily skin like you wouldn't believe and I am now so confident in my skin and the range made me realise that the products best for my skin, weren't ones full of nasty ingredients, but ones full of good for you ingredients. And that is what Nourish is. It's a brand who puts a hella'lotta'thought in to their products making sure that their products are the best quality possible for everyone of any skin type. As well as their skincare ranges (you can read my review of the Balance range for oily skin, here) they also produce beautiful body products and also gifts! (So keep them in mind for Christmas, lovelies!) The newest product to join the Nourish family is the Golden Glow Toning Souffle with Frankincense and Myrrh, and let me tell you, when I opened this, I was blown away. It is possibly one of the most beautiful body products I have ever had the absolute pleasure of using. So what exactly is this wonder product I have fallen in love with? Well, let me tell you all you need to know...

I am constantly on the hunt for the perfect mascara. It's like foundations. You spend years searching for the perfect foundation, trying different shades, textures, formulas and brands. And for me it's exactly the same with mascaras. For someone with naturally flat, lifeless and curl-less lashes, a good mascara is a must and the one I have relied on for the past four years or so is the Rimmel X10 Volume Flash mascara. I think that will always be my go-to mascara, but in the mean time I'm still always on the hunt for one which does everything I need without having to pile it on or use lash extension products or over doing it with my eyelash curlers. And I think I may have come close with this NATOrigin Lengthening mascara!

Although I don't often buy high-end, often finding that high-street products are just as good for what I like and love, there is one thing I will always part with my money for. And that is MAC lipsticks. I have a fair few now, more than any other brand I have for lipsticks. They are my favourite lipsticks for several reasons. Firstly, aesthetics. I love the packaging of MAC lipsticks. A classic bullet design with a simple black and silver look and the MAC logo. Secondly, they have the biggest variety of shades and 'types' of lipstick. I have at least one lipstick from most of the 'types' of lipstick they do now. Thirdly, they just look amazing on.
I was first introduced to Ginvera when I received a sample of their Green Tea Nude BB cream in the June She Said Beauty box. The Ginvera BB cream is by far the best BB cream I have ever used and once I have used up the BB creams I currently have, I will be purchasing the full sized version as I really loved it! I was recently sent the Ginvera Green Tea Whitening Complete Cleanser to try out and review, and it came the same time as She Said Beauty included a sample of a Ginvera product I had much been lusting after, the Green Tea Exfoliating Marvel Gel, in the September box. So I thought it'd be a perfect opportunity to review both of the Ginvera products in one go!

After a long time planning, on Saturday the Nottingham #bbloggers meetup I arranged finally happened! There were 15 of us in total, and we met up at 10am in Nottingham City Center, before heading off for a day of shopping, fashion events and shows, and yummy food at Nando's! It was so lovely to meet girls who I had not only followed and loved their blogs for a long time, but speak to on a daily basis, as well as to meet new faces and find new lovely blogs to read!

BB creams have been probably one of the most talked about, compared, trialed and tested products this year, in the UK at least. It seems that 2012 was really the year for BB creams in the UK with brand after brand after brand releasing their own take on BB creams, each claiming that theirs is the best on the market, the perfect one for you. One such brand to release a BB cream, claiming that it was better than any other, was The Body Shop. Their BB cream was released over the summer and as a well known cruelty-free brand, I was intrigued as to whether their BB cream was any good. I've tried a few before now, owning the No7 Beautiful Skin BB cream in shade medium for oily skin, and having tried the Ginvera Green Tea Nude BB cream and becoming absolutely besotted with it, which I will be purchasing in full size soon. But I was curious. I have never really tried any makeup from The Body Shop and I thought this was a good place to part.
The Body Shop All In-One BB cream comes in three shades; lighter skin tones, medium skin tones and darker skin tones. Before buying I swatched both the medium and the darker versions and found that the darker one was just that touch too light. So I opted for the one for medium skin tones. The Body Shop BB cream, which comes in a 25ml tube and costs £12, boasts quite a lot. In the tube it is a white cream which transforms on your skin when applied, to match your skin tone. It has pigment-filled capsules which burst when applied to the skin, releasing the colour inside those capsules. All you have to do is blend for a perfect match and an even, undetectable finish. It's "makeup and skincare in one". It adapts to your skin tone, gives light to medium coverage and an even finish, gives 24-hour hydration and is non-clogging, so great for those even with large pores! Or that's it's claims, anyway. So how does it really shape up?
When I wear this BB cream, I am not wowed. Yes, it's a nice novelty that when you first apply it it is a white cream which then changes colour as you apply it. But that's all it is, a novelty. It does give a light to medium coverage, and I think that coverage is quite easy to build up. And it gives a nice finish, even lasting all day. But there is one place this product fails me.
It does nothing for my oily skin. In fact, on the days I wear this, no matter what primer or powder I use, it leaves my skin so, so oily by the end of the day. And I don't just mean a shiny face - I mean full on oily sheen that leaves me feeling embarrassed. If it wasn't for that, this BB cream would be lovely. I like the concept. I like that it is cruelty free. I like that it is from The Body Shop, a shop I like. But it just does nothing for my oily skin and I really wouldn't recommend this for others with oily skin, either.
Have you tried The Body Shop BB cream? What are your thoughts on it? What is the best BB cream you've tried so far?
The third and final product we have been trying out from Make Believe for the Tans for Women of Colour project is the Make Believe bronzer and brush compact which is also, like the tinted moisturiser which you can read the review of here, is from the Enhance range. Make Believe market this matte bronzer as perfect for the face and décolletage, for a natural looking flawless, tanned complexion. Costing £15 it comes in a cute little box compact with the brush and a mirror.

When MUA released the Undressed palette, I wanted it so badly. I lusted after it for months and months. But at the time I was doing The 100 Day Challenge. So spending and splurging was not allowed! Not even for a £4 eyeshadow palette. But as you can imagine, one of the first things I did when I finished The 100 Day Challenge was make an online order for some lusted after MUA products. And there was no way I was going to order anything without putting the Undressed palette in my basket, too! It's been raved about by everyone whose tried it, it's been compared to the Naked palette by Urban Decay and it's been mentioned in monthly favourites and holy grail posts for months. I needed it, I wanted it, I had to have it.

Come on, admit it. If there's one thing each and every one of us loves about Autumn and Winter, it's the fact that it is the perfect weather for a super pampering bath, to keep us warm and cosy on those dark, cold nights. I for one definitely prefer baths to showers in Autumn and Winter and I have the biggest collection of pampering bubble baths, oils, elixirs, bombs and anything else you could imagine to make bath time amazing. I will put anything in my bath. I'll whack salts and bombs and bubble baths all in one go! That was until I received this beautiful NEOM Tranquillity Organic Bath Foam. And I realised, I didn't need every thing you could imagine in my bath. All I needed, was this. This, is the perfect bath product. This, is more than enough for a pampering, relaxing and luxurious bath. This, is my new holy grail bath product.

A few weeks ago I review the Lanolips 101 Ointment and particularly, the review was all about the Lanolips 8 hour challenge. You can read my review of the Lanolips 101 Ointment plus my thoughts on the 8 hour challenge, here. I really liked the Lanolips 101 Ointment and I said in my review that I would love to try the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid with Organic Lemon Oil next, opposed to repurchasing the Lanolips 101 Ointment when it ran out. I was very kindly sent the Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid to try out and I was really excited to try it because I knew it'd be a great product, but I was really intrigued as to what the scent, texture and feel of this one would be like in comparison. Before I get in to my thoughts on this product I want to share this video with you. It is all about the Lemonaid Lip Aid, as told by the owner and creator of Lanolips and I think it just perfectly describes this product and why the Lanolips lip products are so wonderful! I don't usually add videos here on my blog, but this one was one I felt was definitely worth sharing!

I have liked Liz Earle since winning the Cleanse & Polish in a giveaway a few months back and I've lusted after both more of their skincare, and definitely their makeup, ever since I got the Cleanse & Polish. I have mentioned the Cleanse & Polish briefly in my third instalment of The Skincare Series, which you can find here, but if you would like a more in-depth review of the raved about Cleanse & Polish let me know, and I will do one!

The blogosphere has been going wild for EOS lip balm reviews for months and months now, but as a US product which can be hard to get hold of here in the UK, Balmi saw an opening in the British market and took it. I have a few EOS balms and I love them and I have been intrigued by Balmi, so I was happy to see one in my August Editors Picks Latest in Beauty box. Balmi lip balms are a blend of ingredients which help to give lips long lasting daily care and protection and can be used by even those with the most sensitive of skins. They contain lots of lovely ingredients such as antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil which are great for moisturisation, smoothing and softening. But Balmi doesn't just moisturise your lips. They also protect from sunshine and UV rays with a built in SPF15. They also come in five flavours (I have the blackcurrant one!) But are they any good?
9 October 2012
There's a lot of products I use that I don't get around to reviewing so taking a leaf out of a few other bloggers books, I have decided to do some posts where I do quick, short reviews on several products in one go; hence the name "Five quick reviews". These are products I like, love and use on a day-to-day basis that I think deserve a bit of recognition and love!

Xen-Tan is the fourth brand we have been working with on the Tans for Women of Colour project and today I will be sharing my thoughts with you on the dark lotion. Now, before I get in to my thoughts I thought I would point something out. If there is a brand I hear of the most when it comes to tanning whether it be at home tanning or spray tans, it's Xen-Tan. Whether it be in the blogosphere with absolute rave reviews, or even by friends away from the blogosphere, Xen-Tan is without a doubt the brand I hear of the most for tanning. This gave me very high expectations and I definitely expected the World and more from this tan. I expected it to give me the best, most amazing, most natural looking tan there ever was and if it didn't, all hell was going to break loose (or in real life, I was just going to be overly disappointed!)

I am a huge Balance Me fan and could not recommend their skincare range enough. Their products are natural, are nasty-ingredients free and full of goodness. Their products are lovingly created here in the UK and are a wonderful British brand with stunning products to match. The latest product to be launched by Balance Me is a new hand cream. I already have a hand cream from Balance Me which is the Super Moisturising Hand Cream which I will be reviewing here on the blog very soon. This new, gorgeously girly pink hand cream is the Rose Otto Hand Cream. Launched October 1st, this is a brand new product which will leave your hands in tip-top condition.
4 October 2012
I've recently been trying out some products from Bumble and Bumble and I can officially say that I am now a fully converted fan! I've seen Bumble and Bumble products raved about all over the blogosphere and on YouTube and they really are as good as people say and definitely worth the money. I've already shared with you my thoughts on the Thickening Hairspray (read review here) which is now my holy grail product for volume, as well as the Seaweed Mild Marine Shampoo (read review here) which I have been loving and will be picking up the matching conditioner for shortly! Today I am going to share my thoughts with you on their Creme De Coco Masque and the Curl Conscious Reactivating Mist!
I know I say this in every empties post but I love using stuff up! It has definitely become an everyday habit now. I reach for the things which have been used then forgotten about, to try and finish them up. It is satisfying finishing stuff up, it clears a bit of space in my ever growing collection of products and it means I can use newer products that I have held off on because I have so much to use! This month I haven't used as much as in previous months, only 17 things, but they have all been big things, plus a few samples and some stuff from beauty boxes! So what do I think of everything I finished up this month?
3 October 2012
I don't know about anyone else but I am happy September has come and gone. My favourite seasons are Autumn/Winter and we are now officially in my favourite time of year. There's so many things from October on wards that I love. Halloween, the Goose fair, Bonfire Night, Christmas, New Year's. And in just a week I will be back at Uni for my third year. I'm welcoming October with open arms! There's quite a mix for my favourite this month. I've got some skincare, makeup, hair care and a gorgeous perfume! These are the products I have been reaching for the most, using on a day to day basis and falling in love with during September!

Aromatherapy Associates create skincare and body care products, as well as at-home spa products, which are animal-friendly, natural and eco-friendly. None of their products contain mineral or sulphonated oils which can block the performance of essential oils, GM ingredients, SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate), petrolatum, propylene glycol, synthetic colours or fragrances, parabens, any ingredients which have been tested on animals or animal derivatives. An all round good-for-your-skin brand with no nasty ingredients! They have 11 ranges; relax, de-stress, enrich, renew, essential, anti-ageing, refinery, gifts, home and travel, revive, support and soothing. The soothing range is a skincare line with products dedicated to soothing and calming the skin whilst still keeping it radiant. I have been trying out the soothing face oil.
1 October 2012
A couple of weeks ago for the Tans for Women of Colour project, the whole group reviewed the Make Believe tan! I really loved it, I just loved the way it made my skin look. We were also sent two other products from Make Believe and that was a tinted moisturiser and a bronzer. Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the Glow Tinted Moisturiser which is from the Enhance range by Make Believe. The Enhance range is a range of products which work to enhance your tan (surprise, surprise!) There are five products in the Enhance range; something for everyone! Tinted moisturisers are great for days when you want a bit of coverage but don't really want to whack on a full face of foundation.
