Top 12 Beauty Products of 2012

The top 12 beauty products of 2012

I'm skipping the usual favourites post this month and instead, as we say goodbye to 2012 and welcome in a new and exciting 2013, I am going to share with you my top 12 products of 2012! These are products I use daily, products I am in love with, products I reach for over others and ones I would recommend over and over again!

Perfume wise nothing was going to beat the Liz Earle Botanical Essence No.15 for me. This is now what I like to call my signature scent. It is my favourite scent, of any scent perfume wise I have come across in my 24 years. I adore it, from the beautifully designed packaging to the glorious and sensuous scent. Foundation wise there are two that really stick out for me as absolute wonders of 2012. The first is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation which for me, over the summer, was the best foundation I could possibly have. It provides coverage, but with a dewy, glowing look. You can read my review here

The second foundation, and another Liz Earle product, is the Liz Earle Signature Foundation. I think a lot of us are always on the hunt for the perfect foundation and this is mine. It does everything I ever wanted a foundation to do. I've finally found my perfect foundation! You can read my review of this here

What is probably my holy grail skincare and what has been an absolute saviour in the colder months, is the Antipodes Divine Face Oil. This product for me, where face oils are concerned, is unparalleled! You can read my review here

Top beauty products of 2012

I wanted to mention the Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser. I've tried a few tinted moisturisers in my time but this for me is perfect. It leaves my skin feeling soft, moisturised and supple, whilst also offering a medium coverage and evening my skin tone. It's perfect!

Lipstick wise there is one shade that sticks out for me in 2012 and that is Rebel by MAC. This is a shade I avoided for a good year or two and this Autumn I finally took the plunge, and I adore it! You can read my review here

Next is the most amazing night cream I have ever used in my life, ever. The Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream is the most amazing night cream I have ever used and it's going to break my bank replacing it when it runs out, but it will be worth the money. You can read my review here

I just love the EOS Lip Balms. This one is the Lemon Drop scent, but I love them all! They are fab, different and unique and completely natural! You can read my review here.

The final makeup products are ones which are more than a little raved and hyped about here in the blogosphere. First up is the MUA Undressed Palette. This is one of my favourite palettes of 2012 and one I use the most out of my palettes selection. You can read my review here

And the second, very much so a cult product and well worth the hype, is the NARS Laguna Bronzer. This is the perfect bronzer, it's little perfection in a bronzer. I adore it, and it was well worth parting with £25. You can read my review here.

Finally, is another Rimmel product and that is the Rimmel Stay Matte Transulcent powder. This does exactly what it says - It keeps my makeup and face matte, holding back my oily skin and keeping my makeup looking great all day. A bargain product that every girl needs I think!

And finally... I love lemon scented products and this one smells so much like fresh zesty lemons that it leaves my mouth watering! The Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme which is just utterly lovely, the scent divine and it's a real must for my cuticles. You can read my review here

  1. These are some great picks! I love the Wake me up foundation but unfortunately it was too dark for me, so I'll repurchase in Summer if I get a tan! The MUA palettes are definitely one of my favourites of the year too, and the Rimmel powder has been a favourite for years :) xo

    1. Thanks Catherine! :) It's a shame that the Wake Me Up Foundation was too dark for you but hopefully with a bit of a summer glow you'll find it works for you! MUA are so, so fab for eye-shadows, I just absolutely adore their palettes! And I can't believe I only recently picked up the Rimmel powder! xo
