Prime and Perfect with Wild About Beauty

Wild About Beauty is a makeup brand which is very new to me. Today I am going to be sharing my thoughts with you on two of their products. One, is a skin and makeup saviour and I featured it in my October Favourites post (you can find that post here!) the other is a product I have never tried the likes of before and I am really beginning to like. First, let me tell you about the Botanical Skin Prep which I have been loving.

The Botanical Skin Prep from Wild About Beauty is packed full of lovely skin caring ingredients. It is a super-serum which rejuvenates your skin, keeping it nourished and conditioned whilst simultaneously priming skin to ensure your makeup goes on smoothly and lasts as long as possible. It is enhanced with anti-ageing ingredients such as green  caviar extract and it's super rich formation will plump, prime and even out skin tone whilst sesame seed oil ensures the skin is kept hydrated. For me, this is a great primer when used along with my Urban Decay De-Slick XL Setting Spray. It has a very thin consistency and feels more like a moisturiser than a primer when you apply it. And I have noticed that my skin feels better after using it, my base looks more flawless and my makeup also lasts the day. I really like this primer and as it comes in a 30ml tube it's definitely going to last a while as one pump is enough for your whole face. The Botanical Skin Prep costs £21.

The Mattifying Balm by Wild About Beauty is something I have never used before, nor anything like it. The Mattifying Balm is a light-weight and colourless balm which instantly mattifies the skin. It is a multi-purpose product which is ideal as a makeup primer or for a quick on the go touch up to prevent shine. It is versatile and leaves the skin looking smoothed and shine free whilst helping to erase the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I find for me this only works as a primer before makeup application, I don't find it very easy to use when I already have makeup on. It mattifies as soon as it goes on to my skin and I like using this when I use my more expensive foundations and products because it really makes them work to their best. It's a lovely product and at £20 per 22g pot this is something I would repurchase again in the future for my high-end products.

Have you tried anything from Wild About Beauty? What would you recommend I try?

  2. These sound lovely. Obviously having quite oily skin myself I do like products that mattify but without stripping the skin of it's oils.
I'm currently using something similar from Super Facialist called Deep Clean Matttifying Pore Minimiser which is essentially a primer too. Although I just use it on my T-zone to help with shine :) x
