MAC Supercontinental Powder Blush

A picture of MAC Supercontinental Powder Blush

I was very lucky to win this MAC blush in a giveaway. It's from the Style Seeker collection and is just the perfect shade for me. It's not too dissimilar to my Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (read review here), with just a touch more pink to it. I've been tempted by MAC blushes before but for me, I don't quite feel I am yet at the stage where I can justify the price of MAC blushes, as I wear bronzers far more often than blush and blush is something I have only become confident with over the past few months. This is the perfect shade to break me in to MAC blushes though. The shade is called Supercontinental and is a beautiful coral peach shade.

I have been reaching for this a lot over the past few weeks, as I find it perfect for adding just a flush of colour to my cheeks. This is, although from the Style Seeker collection, also a permanent blush shade from MAC and you can find it on the MAC website. It costs £17.50 and it is quite big (as I am sure all of you with MAC blushes will know!) I'm really impressed with the formula and pigmentation, and the colour can be built up too. It's quite long lasting although I do find I need to reapply if I am out all day. Overall it's a super lovely blush and I am happy to have my very own MAC blush.

What is your favourite MAC blush? Do you have any recommendations for me?

  1. You won Supercontinental!!! That's been on my wishlist, it's so pretty! :)
I really like MAC's Fleur Power because it's a yellow based pink that looks really good on warm skin tones and the formula is really good.

    1. It definitely is a lot to pay. But then I'd have no problem paying that for NARS?! xo

  11. Looks a lovely colour :) I normally use bronzers too, never know whether or not to try blushers as my skin tone is quite pink anyway, so don't know if it would make it worse! This kind of colour looks pretty though :) xx

    1. I have really pinky/red cheeks! So for me, I guess I am so used to trying to hide those that blush is something I'm yet to gain confidence with xo

    1. I think less is more is always better, because you can build shades up but it's harder to blend them out once you put too much on! xo

  16. That looks gorgeous!

My favourite MAC blush is Melba, great sculpting colour.

MAC isn't my favourite brand for blushes though, NARS is my ultimate fav, and although Benefit boxed blushers are very overpriced I actually really like them and reach for mine a lot.

    1. I've heard a lot about Melba! I think Natural Collection also have a blush by the same name which I know is equally as coveted! I want to try a NARS blush, I think I may invest closer to Spring/Summer! I just got my first Benefit blush the other day - You've reminded me to use it tomorrow! xo

Congrats on winning the giveaway, it looks like a great colour XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.co.uk
