L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows

I've spent quite a few months now lusting after the L'Oreal Infallible Eye-shadows, and they featured in my 100 Day Challenge updates and wish-lists quite often. But whenever I swatched them in Boots I always found them lacking in that wow factor that I often see raved and boasted about here on the blogosphere. So every time I have gone to pick a few up, I've stopped myself, telling myself they aren't worth it. But with Boots recent 3 for 2 offer, I suppose I just decided it was time to take the plunge. Products can be very different when on than when you swatch them on the back of your hand so I thought it was worth giving these a proper go. I picked up two, in shades 014 Eternal Black and 001 Time Resist White.

The L'oreal Infallible Eye-shadows come in 19 shades and are, according to L'Oreal  the heart of the revolution - A hybrid powder texture, a luxuriously creamy eye-shadow with intense colour in just one stroke. The formula is both water resistant and smudge resistant and doesn't crease. they come in rather cute 3.5g pots and have a presser which holds them in place (so much so that I can even stand these on there sides for the photo above without any falling out!

I also find these quite versatile. I can use them as they are, dry, or I can also use them with a slightly moist brush which gives them more impact. I prefer the finish of Time Resist White - It's a shimmer but it's a fine shimmer, whereas the Eternal Black has bits of silver glitter in that I wish actually wasn't there as I think if this was a matte black, or more like the shimmer finish of the Time Resist White, it'd be perfect.

I do like these, and I am glad I finally took the plunge and bought some. There are some others from the range I want to add to my collection, such as Permanent Khaki, Bronze Goddess, Burning Black and Purple Obsession! You can find them on the Boots website and they cost £6.99 each.

  5. I have the navy blue one and I love it. I was going to purchase the black one, but seeing how glittery it really is has changed my mind. However, I had no intentions of buying that white, and it's much, much prettier in your swatch than I thought it would be, so I may purchase that one. Great review!

    1. Definitely a bit much. It's a shame because I think it'd be perfect if it was matte xo

  12. I have the 'Time resistant white', but i only use it when I'm going out at night. I find it too pigmented and shimmery (almost verging on looking silver) to wear during the day. x

Hope you can check out my new post! x
