Clarins Eyes and Lips

If you read my review of the Clarins Limited Edition Odyssey Eye Quartet (which you can find here) you will know that Clarins is a brand I really respect. I think their makeup is special and certainly makes me feel as if I am using some of the best there is. These beautiful products are no different. I have been trying out two lipsticks and a mineral eye quartet. And let me just tell you now, I think this eye quartet is actually now my go-to quad for a smokey eye!

Every girl needs a classic red lipstick in their collection and although I have a lot of red lipsticks, this is probably the most classic red and true to red shade I have. Clarins 121 Red Prodige is the perfect true red. The Clarins Rouge Prodige lipsticks come in 34 beautiful shades and has an unrivaled formula that delivers long-lasting lip colour, shine, and colour which lasts all day. It has high fidelity pearl technology (sounds posh, right?) that ensures the colour and shine stay put, whilst still being a rich, creamy lipstick and not drying out your lips. It has great nourishing skin care benefits for your lips and the huge variety of colours means there is a shade for any look! I absolutely adore the classic gold look of the casing for this gorgeous true red lipstick and each time I have used it it's been a dream to use. I really want to add Mystic Plum and Passion Rose to my collection, which just look beautiful. You can find the Clarins Rouge Prodige lipsticks, which cost £17.50 each.

After trying out the Limited Edition Odyssey Eye Quartet, I am a big fan of the Clarins eye-shadows. I find the formulation perfect for application and they feel weight-less and perfect on my lids. The 06 Graphites Mineral Quartet is no different. Not only is each individual colour beautiful, but the pigmentation is amazing. The lightest shade, what appears to be a rose beige in the palette, has the most beautiful glistening pearl effect which is just perfect for the inner corner. All of the shades are so easy to blend and very easy to build up and I have actually been reaching for this a lot for a more subtle smokey eye as the colours just work perfectly together. All of Clarins eye-shadow mineral quartet's are a collection of wet and dry formula eye-shadows, each containing four toning shades of satin and iridescent long lasting, super silky and easy to blend eye-colour. Presented in the Clarin's signature pale gold compact with a large mirror and two quality foam tipped applicators, along with a beautiful red velvet casing to keep it in. This is one of my go-to palettes right now and I adore it. You can find this, and the other seven variations of the mineral quartet's Clarins do on their website, costing £30 each.

I have been adoring more plummy shades for the Autumn and the Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick in shade 14 Brilliant Grape is going to be perfect for Christmas dinners and in the run up to Christmas. It's the most gorgeous red grape and plum shade with just a touch of sparkle, which makes it the perfect lip choice for this party season. It's not like any other shade I own and I think it's just utterly beautiful and unique. The Clarin's Joli Rouge lipsticks combine the transparent colour and shine of a lip gloss with the creamy texture of a lipstick. It has a unique extreme shine Maxi Lip Complex which helps to plump and hydrate your lips for a full, soft and supple feel, whilst deeply moisturising and long-wearing formula provides the benefits of a balm with lip care ingredients. You can find the Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Perfect Shine Sheer Lipsticks on the Clarins website, costing £17 and come in 15 stunning shades.

  1. When i went into house of fraiser the other day i was really intrigued by the Clarins stand but I think often it can be perceived as 'older womens' makeup which puts the younger generation off, I will definitely be trying out these lipsticks though they're beautiful!

Having a Christmas giveaway over at my blog if you'd like to have a look: http://picklejarsxo.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/christmas-giveaway.html

  4. For some reason I've never tried out any Clarins make up products! And I'm not sure why as they seem great. The Grape lipstick is one I am sure I'd take a liking too, sometimes a bit of sparkle on the lips is just what a girl needs. :)
