Make Believe Tinted Moisturiser

A couple of weeks ago for the Tans for Women of Colour project, the whole group reviewed the Make Believe tan! I really loved it, I just loved the way it made my skin look. We were also sent two other products from Make Believe and that was a tinted moisturiser and a bronzer. Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on the Glow Tinted Moisturiser which is from the Enhance range by Make Believe. The Enhance range is a range of products which work to enhance your tan (surprise, surprise!) There are five products in the Enhance range; something for everyone! Tinted moisturisers are great for days when you want a bit of coverage but don't really want to whack on a full face of foundation.

The Glow Tinted Moisturiser is advertised as being a hydrating and lightly tinted moisturiser, for a luminescent facial glow. I both like and dislike this product. The consistency is a little thicker than I am used to with tinted moisturisers, but it does blend in nicely. I would suggest moisturising before applying this though as otherwise it can be a little cakey looking (which makes me question just how hydrating it is...) It doesn't have the best coverage, and it didn't really cover up any blemishes are pigmentation. But if you had been on holiday and got a tan or even applied the Make Believe tanning product of your choice to your face (something I never do) I think it would compliment your tan nicely. It does have shimmer in it, a bit too much for my liking as with naturally oily skin, too much shimmer in a base isn't the best idea. But I have opted for using this in a way which works for me. Instead of applying it all over my face I have been applying it to my cheeks and outer section of my face, and then it leaves a lovely glow and a nice finish. Overall it's a nice product now that I have found a way to make it work for me. This product costs £15.

  2. I have to agree that I don't feel like it is the most moisturising moisturiser out on the market. Ive been using it as a highlighter just like you have and been trying to use it mixing with my concealer because its practically them same colour as it

  3. I think this looks like it would make a nice base under foundation or as a highlighter, not sure I'd pay £15 for it though as I've heard similar things to what you've said about this!

  7. @ChloeI don't think it would blend well under foundation unfortunately, it's not the easier product to settle! I do think it's over priced though xo

  9. Yes it's true, it's not hydrating but I personally think you should apply moisturiser before anyway as it's not meant to replace it, I think this would work better on top of a self tanner. Like how it looks on your skin though xo
