Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

A picture of Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
I recently reviewed the Balance Me Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve (read review here) and since then I have been trying out another product from Balance Me, the Pure Skin Face Wash*. This face wash is from the Daily Essentials range and is a gentle yet effective non-drying sulphate and petroleum free face wash which works to cleanse the skin of make up and daily grime. It is formulated with anti-oxidant rich moringa and rice brand oils to brighten and polish the skin and leave it smooth and gently cleansed. It is better suited for normal to combination skin and it's ingredients contain 98.8% natural origin. It contains a blend of soothing, balancing, deliciously fragrant grapefruit, petitgrain and frankincense essential oils with spruce knot extract to help improve and smooth the appearance of congested or problem complexions.

This product has been lovely to use, with the strongest scent pulling through being the frankincense. To me, it smells lovely and relaxing, although I could see some people finding the scent too strong or unpleasant. Although this facial wash doesn't lather up (which is something I like in my face washes) It's gentle on my skin, leaving it clean and refreshed and it really does work off all the make-up and daily grime that my cleansers leave behind. My skin just looks so much brighter and refreshed after using it!

  4. It's a shame to hear that it doesn't lather, I love that in a face wash too, I got a free sample of their wonder eye cream from a magazine the other week and so far I've really liked it! xx

  5. Who doesn't like a good lather? But what usually causes facewash (and shampoo, and toothpaste, and soap or bodywash, and any cleaning product) to foam up nicely is SLS - sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate etc. It is actually an irritant to skin.

  6. I quite like the idea of it not lathering as I always get products that do in my eyes for some reason. It's a wonder I'm not blind. I also like Frankincense so this would be a perfect product for me :)

  8. This sounds great, I love the Balance me brand. The lack of foaming would be good for me as foaming washing tend to contain certain ingredients which dry out the skin, so I tend to avoid them with my papaery dry skin! haha. Hope you have a nice weekend.
