Pai Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator

Looking after my skin is incredibly important to me, especially my face. I am a firm believer that it is better to do what you can now to keep your skin in the best condition, than pay for it years down the line. I like to exfoliate a couple of times a week, to ensure any clogged pores are de-clogged and refined, to really give my skin a good clean and when I can do that as well as moisturising and brightening my complexion? Well that leaves me a very happy Tealady!

Pai Skincare is an organic skincare company with ethics which really stand out! Pai believe that the impact we have on the natural environment should be minimal and to ensure they do their part in looking after the Planet they have some very strict ethics. They only use naturally derived ingredients, approved for us by the Soil Association, who they are also certified with. Their products do not contain any synthetic preservatives or other chemical nasties, which makes them stand out from mainstream cosmetic companies, as well as many natural ones too. They use stationary and packaging produced from recycled materials wherever possible, which are all recyclable! They are animal friendly and do not take part in any animal testing, nor are any of the ingredients in their products sourced from companies which do choose to test on animals. They only use the highest grade, plant-based ingredients in their products, none of which are grown using pesticides or extracted using chemical solvents which can leave residues in the end product. Pai carefully formulate all of their products using the latest research and manufacturing processes to ensure they are the cleanest on the market today!

None of their products contain the following nasties; alcohol (which can dry out skin, cause irritation, trigger Rosacea flare-ups and prevent the absorption of vitamin A), parabens (which is not good for sensitive skin), artificial fragrances (which often contain phthalates and other irritating chemicals), phenoxyethanol (a skin irritant), formaldehyde (harsh skin irritant), petrochemicals (a skin irritant and triggers eczema), sodium lauryl sulfate (harsh skin irritant and can trigger skin allergies) and phthalates (of which there are health concerns in regards to reproductive health)

So all in all, Pai are a super animal, planet and environment friendly brand, whose biggest concern and interest is producing skincare which is best for all skin types, without any nasties in their products, protecting the skin as much as possible. Definitely a winning brand for me!

The Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator* is an ultra-gentle micro-sphere exfoliation system that reveals younger looking skin. It de-flakes and polishes skin without damaging skin cells. The gel transforms into a silky milk which washes away to leave skin visibly brighter and is rich in omegas 3 and 6 which help to lock-in moisture.

This product marks an innovative and ultra-gentle approach to exfoliation. Unlike other exfoliators, whose uneven grains can damage and irritate healthy skin, Pai's clever micro-sphere system is formulated to protect as it polishes. It contains perfectly cylindrical 100% natural jojoba beads which gently roll over skin, lifting away dead skin cells and surface impurities as they go. It contains high concentrations of Omega 3 and 6 plus Vitamins A, D and E instantly hydrate and soften your bright new complexion. This wonder product is ideal for sensitive and problem skin, including skin prone to redness, eczema and acne.

Before using this product I was using the Good Things blackhead exfoliator, and I used it every night. Since trying out this product this is now the only exfoliator I use. I also use it less than I did my Good Things exfoliator, only having to use this once or twice a week to see the full effects of this wonderful product. I genuinely love it! It has a gorgeous scent, with a mix of fruity and zesty tones, and it feels amazing. The beads are small, but effective and it is such a moisturising exfoliator. I also love that once you have applied this to dry skin, you add water and the exfoliator turns into a milky fluid which really cleans and moisturises the skin.

How to use
The packaging suggests you use two pumps, but I think one is more than enough. I evenly apply one pump onto my face, when my face is dry. I then massage it into my skin all over my face and down onto my neck. I spend a couple of minutes doing this, to ensure the product has got everywhere, and mainly because it is so blooming lovely to massage your face! Once I've done this, I wet my fingers and massage the product in again, which is when it turns to a milky fluid! (The first time it did that I literally squealed with surprise!) I then rinse off using cool water.

It's easy to use, is a lovely, natural and organic product, and is definitely going to be a staple in my skincare routine. It leaves my skin feeling softer, more moisturised, clearer and brighter. It has also massively helped with my pores. This is quite possibly the best facial exfoliator I have ever had the pleasure of using.

  1. sounds lovely. I am currently using an Antipodes exfolliator twice a week and it is also natural. High street ones always irritate my skin.

    1. I just think any product with nasties in, will eventually do your skin more damage than good! This is such a lovely exfoliator, and so, so gentle too! I love it! I will have to look into the Antipodes one! :) xo

  3. Oh that sounds really nice! I absolutely love anything natural, even though I can be naughty sometimes and use not so natural stuff. But I much prefer natural skin care especially!
I checked out their site and yay, they ship to my country! I'm definitely adding this to my wishlist since I've been looking for something without alcohol (since I suffer from redness) and this could be the thing for me! (or something else from their range!)

    Great review hun :)
