June 2012 empties

A picture of beauty products
I'm very excited to write my second empties post this month! I am still really enjoying using products up and I find it somewhat satisfying when I finish a product I've been trying to finish. I'm finding with my 100 Day Challenge (read the latest update here) that I am more happy to use products up than I was before. I have always been the sort to buy product upon product, even if I already have something similar or a few stocked up waiting to be used. Now that I can't spend any money and do this, I find I am happy to use up products which have been waiting to be loved. And I actually find myself searching through every thing I have because I want to use things I already own. So this is what I used up in June!

Lush Fresh Face Mask - Brazened Honey
This is one of my absolute favourite face masks and I love how it makes my skin feel after using it. I have one more pot of this to last me as long as I can make it stretch during the challenge, but this month I finished up a whole pot of it! I have reviewed this face mask before, which you can read here.

Lush Fresh Face Mask - Love Lettuce
This was actually my very first pot of Love Lettuce and I loved using it, but it really didn't last as long as other fresh face masks I use from Lush and when I went to use it one day I realised it was off (with a little bit of fluffy mould to prove it... yuk!) so I rinsed it out and added it to my empties bag. I will be reviewing this soon, so keep a look out!

Lush Foot Mask & Scrub - Volcano
I love this stuff! It is a Godsend for my feet and this pot lasted me around 3 months! Thankfully, I have another one which I am already using! I've also reviewed this particular Lush product and you can read about it here

Aussie Luscious Long Shampoo
I love Aussie! All of they're products just smell utterly amazing and make my hair feel so nice! This particular range is my favourite where shampoo and conditioners from Aussie are concerned!

Colgate Max Fresh With Cooling Crystals Toothpaste
I am a little bit strange when it comes to toothpastes. I can't stand 'pastes'. Normal toothpastes make me feel a little bit icky, as they feel really gritty (Did I rhyme a little there?!) so I always use a gel toothpaste. This particular is my favourite and I am going through these little bottles fairly quickly at the minute as the fella also prefers this one to his!

Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes
I am actually using face wipes less and less. The more I stick to a stringent skin care routine, the more when I do use face wipes I find that they just make my skin sting! The only thing I really use them for now is wiping my eyebrow brushes after use, and getting product off of my hands.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company False Lashes
I received these in my May She Said Beauty box and this month I thought I would give them a go. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. They just weren't sturdy enough in my opinion, and once taking them off (very, very gently and slowly) there was just no chance these could be used again without looking tacky. So I threw them away after one use!

Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara - Black
I didn't actually buy this myself, my mother bought it for me. And I actually did really like it. But it isn't one I would repurchase.

Superdrug Nourishing Nail Polish Remover
I was actually gagging (yes gagging!) to finish this, it was like it was never ending! But finally, I did. It's nothing special, just the Superdrug own brand nail polish remover.

iCARE 5 In 1 Eye Make Up Remover Pads
This is another item my mother bought me, and tbh, I have to admit, I chucked the last few pads away. They just weren't very good and dried out very quickly.

So that's it. All of my June empties. Did you collect enough empties to make an empties post or video this month? If so, link it below!

  2. I want to try the Brazened honey face mask, it sounds good. We also use the same toothpaste, I hate tubes as I hate rolling it up to get product out of it and the caps are gross.

  4. I understand what you mean about tooth 'pastes'. They make me feel really really gross. I much prefer the gels as I don't find this with them. I thought I was the only one!

I haven't yet collected enough for an emplies post but I did my first 'favourites' post this morning!

  7. I'm the absolute worst at finishing stuff up! Other than hygiene things, like shampoo, conditioner, LUSH soaps, and skincare, I never seem to get through things. Probably because I have way too much stuff in terms of makeup... Although I've been through a few bottles of foundation before.
By the way, I saw you tweet a picture of LUSH's Space Girl bath ballistic saying you liked it the other day, and seeing as I'm in the process of moving and most of my LUSH stash is in boxes, I nipped into LUSH yesterday and picked one of them up for myself. Can't wait to use it! Smells yummy, but I have to film a haul video before I can use it up. Is it a bit ridiculous that I picked out the glitteriest one they had? haha :)

Good job on all your empties! xxx

    1. This might sound silly but are you sure it wasn't a heat rash from the bath water? xo
