The eBay blush palette

A picture of the eBay blush palette
By now many of you have probably read about the infamous eBay blush palette. A palette which boasts ten different blush shades, in various pink and coral shades. The great thing about this palette? It costs 99p! The risk? It comes from China and takes nearly three weeks to land on your doorstep! But as you've probably guessed, I took the gamble!

The ten shades in this palette vary from light pinks through to more vibrant pinks, pale yellows to bright corals. All of the shades are matte shades, not a sparkle or glimmer in sight, which is just how I like my blushers, thank you please!

My palette took roughly 15 days to arrive and I must admit, I was dubious as to whether it would be any good at all, not forgetting the fact that it was coming from China, a whooping 8,621 miles (that's a really, really long way, by the way!) I was worried it may arrive broken, with the blushes in pieces or grumbled away. Suffice to say I was thankful to see it arrived in one piece (or ten, to be exact) and carefully bubble wrapped and packaged, making it's long journey a safe and cosy one.

I haven't always liked blushes, in fact it's only in the past few month's that I have made a concious effort to wear blush more often, adding a few products here and there to my ever growing make up collection. I am Cypriot, so I have a naturally tanned complexion and sometimes I am not overly confident wearing blush, often sticking to bronzer. This palette is perfect for blush-beginners, to avid, every day blush wearers and I am really impressed with the quality of each shade.

The shades are all matte, are really soft and easy to blend. Some have a light coverage, but are easily build-able, whereas other shades are bright enough to be used with the slightest touch. You can use each shade alone, or by layering a few of your favourites! There's such a great variety throughout the whole palette!

Would I recommend this blush palette? Definitely! It's a fantastic little bargain at just 99p plus £3 post and packaging. For ten blushers in such a variety of shades, you really can't go wrong!

  4. For a total of £3.99 its always worth a try. I do find products from China are very much like a Primark buy - hit or miss. None the less its found the way to my basket...

    Thanks for sharing :)

  5. You should be careful with make-up from China - they have very dubious animal-testing procedures.

    1. Thank you for the heads up, I am aware though that unfortunately, China is now animal friendly. I buy animal friendly products where I can, but on a budget it's not always easy. Thanks for your comment xo

  7. Wow, what a bargain. I've seen reviews that some of the colours are a bit powdery. Have you found that with any? Looks like there are some gorgeous colours.

    1. They are a little powdery, yes, but you literally need the tiniest amount to get the effect you want xo

  23. I've got a similar one off Amazon but too many shimmery shades for my liking have to get one of these love the bright fuschia pink, I've got olive skin too l tend to use bronzer around my hairline and tops of cheeks, down the nose and chin then blush on apples of my cheeks the bright pinks work with similar toned lip and dark or neutral eye x

  31. 99p? That's a steal! I wasn't expecting such great pigmentation! Personally I like both matte and shimmery blushes, but if I had to pick either matte or shimmer I would go with matte, because I can always add some highlighter over the top after if I want to.
But this looks great, bit dubious about the ingredients, but I'll add it to my list of things to buy, for sure.
After all, for 99p, what more can you ask for, right?
