No7 Nourishing Lip Shine

I recently saw these Nourishing Lip Balms on a TV advert and straight away I was drawn in by the packaging and they soon went on my 'I must have it' list!! So when I got a couple of No7 vouchers I thought it'd be the perfect time to grab them!

OK so first the positives. The No7 nourishing lip shine's came in two shades, pink and peach. The packaging of the box and the product itself, is gorgeous. It's very similar packaging to the Clarins instant light natural lip perfector which I've seen a lot of reviews on. The colour pay off on both shades isn't much, in fact the colour is barely there, but they have just the more gorgeous subtle hint of colour to them both which makes them look lovely. And finally, they make my lips feel so nourished and soft!

But there is a negative to these, and it's a big one. The product is near on impossible to squeeze out, to the point where I have to be so rough with it that I fear I will break the tube! It's a shame as it's the only downside!

I actually decided to email No7 about this and aired my issues with the type of packaging and difficulty it causes in getting the product out! I stated my difficulties in getting the the product out, that I had read a lot of reviews now on here and also in YouTube videos declaring people were having the same problems. I received a response this morning and it wasn't quite what I expected. The response suggested I go in store with the receipt and exchange them for new ones (I no longer have the receipt) and that every product they make goes through several levels of product and packaging testing, and they are happy with the packaging for the No7 Nourishing Lip Shine. If I am honest, I expected more from No7 and Boots themselves in regards to taking on views on the packaging and I was a little bemused that they seemed to brush it off as mine just being unlucky, when so many other people seem to be experiencing the same problem.

    1. Aha, sorry! That wasn't my intention! I'm quite let down by No7 from their response. It's a brand I love but that response was just awful xo

  2. I saw these recently and wondered if they would be like the Clarins, it's a real shame about the packaging, don't think I'll bother now! May as well pay the extra few pounds and get the real deal. x

    1. Once you manage to fight the product out of the tube they are great but the packaging really does let them down xo

  4. You can definitely tell how hard it is to get the product out from how bumpy it looks on the ends. How disappointing, I'd have expected more at £10.50 each too! XO.

    1. Definitely! They are pricey and although I love the product itself, it's just such a let down that it's so difficult to use xo

  5. They look gorgeous, such a shame about the packaging. Hopefully Boots will re-think their response...I'm sure they will once they start to get more criticism! Rachel from www.whatabeauty.co.uk x

  6. I really didn't like it either, mainly because of the faf with the tube - might as well have given me all the ingredients and let me mash them up together, it'd probably be quicker! Can't believe what they said about it either, how stupid of them...!

    1. I don't think it was meant rudely, but it was very much as if they didn't care at all about my feedback xo
