May 2012 Favourites

My May favourites are a little bit late this month as life has become a bit hectic. My partner is temporarily staying with me and I also had Download to attend! But I finally sat down this week and found the time to take some photos so I could do my favourite post, my May favourites!!

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette - £36
I have only had this about a fortnight but it has fast become my absolute favourite make up product. I have used it every single day since I bought it and I am utterly in love with it! It's such a great palette, the colour pay off is great, the texture of the shadows is so smooth and soft, and easily blendable. It's made me really want the first Naked palette now, too!
Nars Bronzer - Laguna - £25
I made my very first Nars purchase not long ago and afterwards it took a while for me to get used to the fact I had just paid £25 for a bronzer, when I'm used to paying £3.99! And at first I really wasn't sure whether it was dark enough for me, originally wanting the shade Casino. But the sales lady recommended laguna and I took the plunge! After using it a few times I've actually grown to really love it. I love how it feels and I really like the colour! I think this may become my staple bronzer!
MAC Lipstick - Vegas Volt - £13.50
I actually won this in a giveaway with the Ojon product I'll be mentioning later, from the lovely Lauren who runs The Beauty Habit. I was so chuffed to win the lovely giveaway celebrating her blogs first birthday, and even happier when it arrived and I found I adored the shade! It's the perfect mix of red and coral, but light and delicate rather than loud. It's so lovely and it's probably the lipstick I've worn the most this month!
No7 Nourishing Lip Shine - Pink - £10.50
I've scheduled a review of this for the end of the weekend, so I won't say too much here. But I just love how this looks and feels on my lips!
Benefit PoreFessional Sample
I was a little cheeky the last time me and my bestie went shopping and I managed to get two samples of the Benefit PoreFessional. I have been using this every day and really, really love it. It makes my pores almost completely disappear! I think I will definitely be adding the full size to my wish list and purchasing the full size after my 100 Day Challenge!
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation + Concealer - Classic Beige - £8.99 + £5.99
I recently reviewed the RImmel Wake Me Up foundation (read review here) and I love it, at the minute and throughout May at least, it's definitely been my go-to foundation, the one I reach for first. I also purchased the concealer to go with it and I love it just as much as the foundation. I'd really recommend both to anyone looking for a new foundation and concealer!
Rimmel X10 Volume Flash Mascara - Black - £7.19
I think this has been my favourite mascara for about four years now. It's the only mascara I can use on it's own and still get the result I want from it!
Ojon Dry Shampoo - £18
This is the second product I won from Lauren's 1st anniversary giveaway. I've not always been confident using dry shampoo's because I have black hair and often they either don't work or have an obvious white powdery appearance on my hair. I took this to Download and was so happy to find this wasn't the case and it kept my hair in check for three days!
MaxFactor Flipstick Colour Effect - Gypsy Red - £8.49
I first saw this range on a Fleur's blog when she showed the various looks you can do with all the shades (see full review here) and I fell in love with them instantly, knowing I had to have one. When I saw them in store I didn't even need to think about which one to pick up. I went straight for the red and coral effect one, named Gypsy Red. I am so in love with this flipstick you would not believe! I've worn it out so many times, I've had people ask me what it is and I have been raving about it. I'll be doing a full review of it soon so keep an eye out!
Dirty Works You Soft Touch Hand Cream - 100ml - £2.99
At Christmas a friend bought me two Christmas gift sets from the brand Dirty Works. Before that I had never tried them but I'll tell you what, I will definitely be buying more from this brand. I love all of the products and throughout May the hand lotion was the hand lotion I reached for the most! I love the way it makes my skin feel so soft without feeling greasy, and it smells lovely!

So those are my May favourites! Do you own any of these? Did you make a May favourites post this month? If so tell me what you're favourites are, too!

    1. I have three samples, which equates to one full tube. I'm interested to see how long it actually lasts and then I need to weigh up the pros and cons as it is an expensive product! xo
