Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

Burt's Bees products are 100% natural. Not only that, but they are have recyclable packaging, their own product packaging being made from recycled polypropylene, are certified by the Natural Products Association and are planet and animal friendly! This to me, makes it a very respectable brand. Any brand which can do all of that and more, is a winner for me.

I actually find it pretty ~I'm ashamed to say~ difficult to get my hands on products which tick all of these boxes. There are brands out there, mainly smaller, lesser known brands, but on the high street, it's incredibly hard to get hold of brands with this sort of commitment and level of moral development in their products. If you can recommend any brands which meet the same standards as brands like Burt's Bees, Lush or The Body Shop - Please inform me! I'm eager to broaden my horizons into more animal and planet friendly products. Anything that is better for our little earthy!

This lip balm is from the replenishing range and contains pomegranate oil. Pomegranate oil contains several polyphenols (that's natural and organic chemicals, for anyone like me that didn't know!) and anthocyanidins (something to do with natural colours and flavours...) which are both very antioxidant in their properties, great for protecting both hair and skin! Onto a great start, right?

Due to the pomegranate oil in this lip balm (which by the way, is one of my all time favourite fruits) it smells, divine. I'm pretty sure the scent is what has made me used this balm obsessively all day! And, as the name suggests, it really does make my lips feel replenished. I'm usually very careful with my lips. I have a routine with them almost as strict as my skincare routine - after all, who wants to kiss a Tealady with horrible, dry, chapped lips? I know I wouldn't! But despite the good condition my lips are in, I can really feel a difference from using this repeatedly over and over throughout the day for a few days now.

The only thing I would say about this product, is that the feeling of those lovely, smooth, replenished lips doesn't last for hours on end. But that's just a good excuse to keep applying it, surely? Another point I'd like to make is this balm is advertised as giving hint of colour for an even-toned appearance. Now, I agree with the even-toned bit. And yes, the colour of the balm is that of (surprisingly) a pomegranate, but, there is no colour transference on to the lip!

Still, I have been really loving this lip balm and considering all the goody, cosy and everything-friendly properties to it, I think we're on to a winner!
