Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Everyone has been raving about this foundation so I wanted to give it a go as I don't have a lot of foundations but I find I need to change my foundation regularly according to my skin on the day! So I picked up this new raved about Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation to see if it was really as good as every one claims!

"Use Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation to lift skin from fatigue, with a healthy radiant glow."

I've been using this for around two weeks now and I can honestly say, I love it. It has it's pros and cons though!

Pros
The packaging is really eye catching and stands out with the vivid orange cap
I find with a lot of foundations one pump can be too little, and two pumps can be too much. Whereas one pump of this is just right!
It goes on really easily
It gives me a slight dewy effect and my skin looks more awake and revived
It stays put for most of the day!
It feels nice on my skin and is really lightweight

Cons
It's a very light weight foundation and doesn't provide a full coverage, so it has to be built up to provide a full coverage, if that's what you're looking for
It's not amazing with my oily skin

Overall I love this foundation and want to get the accompanying concealer to keep in my handbag for when out! I would recommend it to any one and yet again I am very pleased with another lovely Rimmel product!

  2. I'm always tempted by this in boots, but I worry that 'radiant glow' will translate to oily shine on my skin haha x

    1. Well I have natural oily skin and it doesn't make it worse, but it doesn't hide it either! xo

  4. Im tempted to try this, but i have combo skin, i get random dry patches and liquid foundation just loves to cling to it and make my face look yukky... hmmm decisions!

    1. Do you always make sure to moisturise before applying foundation? Also this is so lightweight so I wouldn't imagine you'd have that problem with this! xo

  6. This looks really interesting. I am looking for light weight foundations for the hot summer days that I hope are coming. I haven't seen this here in the US yet. Thanks for the review! =)

  7. Good review :) I've tried this but I can't decide if I like it or not. I found it doesn't last that long on the skin so may have to give it another go with a primer underneath. It's been hyped up a lot on blogs so I wish I loved it more! xx

  8. Ah was looking at this in Boots a few weeks back. Was very tempted, but instead went for my usual foundation which was cheaper and I know works for me. After reading this, I may try this one out.

    Thankyou! Great review. =]

    1. It's been ok with mine. It's not kept my oily sheen at bay all day but it's not horrendous. It's not as good as a matte foundation for that but I think this 'looks' better! xo

  10. I really love this one, and it's actually pretty good with my oily skin.. a lot better than my previous foundations anyway! Sure it's not perfect, but I think us oily people will have a hard time finding something that is :P at least for a decent price haha.
Otherwise I'm glad you liked it! :) xx

  12. Great review! I have it aswel and I do find it really nice but as you said the coverage isn't up there. If I had great skin then it wouldn't bother me but for wanting to get a bit more coverage I've been mixing it with one of my MAC foundations, works a treat!

  15. I loved this foundation for the first few weeks but it's now decided to make my skin oily at the end of the day :( I've never had this problem with a foundation before & I really liked the coverage from this so I'm gutted!
