Lush Volcano Foot Mask & Scrub Review

A picture of Lush Volcano Foot Mask & Scrub

I hate my feet. They are always dry and rough and after a long day out, they ache! So as often as I can I get my foot spa out and have a little pamper.

One of the newest products to join my collection of foot pampering products, is Volcano, a foot mask and scrub from Lush. I went in to the Nottingham branch with my friend Hayley and my first port of call was to ask a member of staff to help me rid my feet of it's dry, rough exterior! And so I was presented with Volcano and given a demonstration on my hand.

This product has it's positives and its negatives. Advertised as "A zingy, ice cool, mint mask for when you feel like you cant go one step further." It's easy to use; you apply it to either the problem areas of your feet, or all over which is what I opt for. Then wrap in cling film to prevent it drying out and let it work its wonders! Whilst on, it has a slight tingly sensation to it, which when demonstrated to me, it was explained that this is due to the active ingredients in it; "Kaolin cleans and repairs. Pumice helps you to rub away dead skin. Papaya has an enzyme that digests dead skin and loosens it for removal. Tomatoes are deodorising and cooling. Menthol, lemon and cinnamon stimulate circulation and give a very cool feel to the skin's surface."

The good thing about this product is it does work. And as well as the mask you can use it as a scrub when washing it off. The only downside is that it doesn't have an awfully pleasant smell to it and at first, the odd bits of tomato in the product did put me off a little. But I have seen the benefits of this product and adore it, it's become a permanent part of my foot pampering routine!

  7. Try some non load bearing exercises and give up jogging for a while. Swimming is a good one and is probably better for you than jogging as it exercises many more muscles at a time.
